Remember: Do not put soda in this drink. As with basically ANY drink, please don't just arbitrarily add soda to "dissolve sugar" or for any other reason. SHOCK HORROR: I HATE SODA and if you put it in my drink I WILL return it.

coat your rocks glass in Absinthe
coat one sugar cube in Peychaud's bitters
2oz (60ml) rye whiskey
STIR, lots. No ice for this one, it's a sippin' cocktail!!!

So to be completely honest; I have not tried this product. BUT when I was visiting one of my NYE events, two of my trusted clients were RAVING about it. They gave me a tester (which I have not tried), but they said that they did the "three Martini's test" AKA the threshold for which one would be hungover or not. I reached out to the company ecstatic to start providing these elixirs to my clients and they have given me a code for 20% off; here it is!

Citrus vodka vs traditional - the LEMON DROP

2/1/2023

This week we made a LEMON DROP! This is a crowd favorite and despite the fact that it is traditionally a sweet drink, you can make it less sweet. The specs are:
1oz (30ml) lemon
3/4 (22ml) simple syrup
1.75 - 2oz (60ml) vodka
shake and double strain into a coupe with a SUGAR RIM

This will give you a balanced cocktail (sans rim), if you want to make it less sweet still, just put 1/2oz (15ml) of simple syrup.

And remember; flavored vodka = gross.

This episode was fun to make because we were just flying by the seat of our pants. I realized I didn't have any crème de mûre and so we improvised as I'm sure you'll be doing at home! Remember - this is not the traditional Bramble, so be sure to watch all the way to the end and read the instructions and recipe carefully :)

Enjoy!!

Display your pricing

1/3/2023

I just went to a website which proudly displayed "SHOW PACKAGES" on the first page. I thought "great" and clicked. It was just descriptions with no mention of any sort of price, not even a range. I have ALWAYS proudly displayed my pricing from Day 1 as I know how annoying it is to go to websites and have to dig for pricing, or worse; contact them and never hear back. These emails 9/10 go into the abyss.

To me; it also feels dishonest. Without getting into the user experience side of things, which is already starting out badly, it also feels like your prices are just made up.  Like you could be charging one person one price and another another price. Two people inquire on the same day, you Google both of them, one is a rich guy so you jack up the pricing. That's not fair. I heard a podcast recently with a celebrity (Kristen Bell maybe?) that people "expected" her to pay more because she’s a celebrity and that is not fair. The price is the price and she's right.

I understand all weddings are different, but at least have a BASE PRICE listed. It feels like a weird scam; a high-pressure sales call type thing to have YOU contact ME, THEN I'll tell you, once you're in the room and sweating with the cameras recording. No. My pricing, as of right now is of course displayed on my pricing page.

I went to a conference a few years ago and the speaker was recommending "don't display your pricing, make them come to you, then once you have them, MAKE THE SALE". Gross. That same person just last year was now preaching "display your pricing! How annoying is it when you go to someone's website and they don't have their pricing listed!" I was like yeah dude, I've been saying this all along. If I go to someone's website and they don't have their pricing listed, guess what? I go elsewhere.
